Marilyn Jones, EdD

Dr. Jones is an entrepreneur and scholar with over 25 years of experience researching formerly incarcerated people. She specializes in creating programs that inspire and motivate Black women and girls with histories of incarceration (BWGHI).

Dr. Jones is the creator of the Araminta Approach, a culturally affirming model designed to improve outcomes for BWGHI. Her current work focuses on intergenerational kinships and improving academic engagement. Dr. Jones holds degrees in Health Education, Adult Education, and Educational Leadership.

She has authored multiple publications, including her autobiography, From Crack to College and Vice Versa.
